This
house is in a charming
and quiet village with 120
inhabitants, called Lourde.
(not to be confused with the "Holy
Lourdes," also in the Pyrenees.) Located in the mountains (600 meters above see level), it is both
tranqil and entertaining, being a popular destination for skiing,
hiking, natural spas, and many lakes ideal for fishing, boating and
swimming. It´s residents are both friendly and helpful.
This village house is a stone building built 200 years ago, it was completly renovated in 1998: New roof with additional floor (2 big bedrooms, one small bedroom, one bathroom, with independent WC), temperature isolation, new doors, windows and volets (the classic French shutters.). The groundfloor has a big livingroom and a fully equipped kitchen, plus two small bedrooms, a bathroom, a seperate WC, and a terrace. Both the front and back lawns are large and with good soil. The cellar runs the expanse of the house, we have used it as a storage area, but it certainly has potential to be developed, as it was also renovated in 1998. The liveable area of the house is 130 square meters, front lawn: 50 square meters and back lawn 80 square meters. It offers attractive and spacious accommodation perfect for a holiday or permanent home. The house is for sale for family reasons: 155.000 Euros, there is the possibility to buy some of the furniture already in the house for a good price.
